Same-day surgery on the day of counseling
When surgery is performed directly on the same day as the counseling, it is called same-day counseling surgery.
In some cases, the patient may wish to make an appointment for surgery on the same day of the consultation, while in other cases, the clinic counselor may recommend same-day surgery. At our clinic, we do not forcefully recommend same-day surgery from counselors.
There are advantages and disadvantages to same-day counseling surgery, which I would like to discuss.

[Benefits
Typa is good
The ability to have the procedure performed by the doctor of your choice on the shortest possible date is an advantage for those who can afford the downtime or need the surgery in a hurry.
cost-effective
In rural areas, there are often not enough cosmetic clinics in terms of both quantity and quality, and many people prefer to have their surgeries in urban centers where there is a wider range of options. For patients who come to our clinic from far away, the burden of time and transportation costs for hospital visits is not a small problem. In my case, especially with regard to mongolian fold formation, we have patients coming from all over the country to consult with me, and I feel a bit overwhelmed when I think about the time and effort required to visit the hospital.
The advantage of having same-day surgery is that it reduces the number of one-time visits to the hospital for counseling.
[Disadvantages.
Possibility of not being able to perform the surgery with the reserved procedure
Those who wish to have surgery on the day of counseling will probably inform us in advance of the desired technique, for example, "I wish to have double-layered eyelids by implantation method" or "I wish to have double-layered incisions. In principle, we perform the surgery according to the patient's wishes, but as a result of the counseling, we may have to propose a different surgery from what the patient wants.
An example would be, "The patient came to the clinic wanting an incisional double fold, but the ability to open the eyes was weak and it was determined that a blepharoplasty was necessary to create the desired eye area.
Lack of time to examine counseling content
If the surgery is not performed on the same day, the patient can calm down and think or investigate once even if he or she is recommended a surgery that was not anticipated as described above.
For example, many people who come for a consultation for mongolian fold formation are unsure whether to choose the VY method or the inverted Z method, and many are unable to decide on a surgical technique on the day of counseling. In the case of surgery on the day of counseling, there is limited time for consideration, so there is a possibility that the patient will wonder later whether the technique they decided on was the right choice.
If you are booked for same-day surgery, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the surgery if you cancel your surgery, since we are trying to squeeze in other patients to keep the surgery slot. No one wants to pay a cancellation fee, so they tend to accept the surgery even if they are not sure about it.
Compatibility Issues
Even popular doctors and clinics may not be a good fit for you because it is ultimately a person-to-person process. Even if the word-of-mouth reviews are good or the case studies are beautiful, it is possible that the actual consultation may not be a good fit.
If it is not same-day surgery, you can seek counseling at other clinics to find the right doctor for you.
On the day of the counseling, you will undergo the surgery.
If one is careful in one's consideration, I think it would be better to have counseling and surgery on different days. However, as long as there is a merit for patients to request surgery on the same day of counseling, I think it is different to deny same-day surgery.
In fact, in the majority of cases, surgery is performed on the day of counseling without any problems. However, we feel that many of those who undergo surgery on the same day of counseling have problems after the surgery.
This is often due to the fact that the discrepancy in perception between the doctor and the patient is not filled in and the surgery is performed, and the discrepancy in perception becomes apparent after the downtime.
To avoid unnecessary problems, it is advisable for those considering consultation-day surgery to learn in advance about the procedure they are considering.
I think that a good place to learn in advance is on the clinic's website or the doctor's social networking site. If you read through these two sites, you will be less likely to be confused on the day of the consultation, since the clinic and the doctor will have communicated what they want to say. It is also helpful to look through the websites of other clinics and social networking sites of other doctors to broaden your knowledge.
What you should avoid is being misled by information that has little credibility. Especially on social networking sites, there is an abundance of information that is not very credible and is intended to gain impressions, and such information is more likely to be seen.
It is best to consider information other than "information that clearly identifies the name, face, and affiliation of the sender of the information" as something that raises eyebrows. Of course, anonymous accounts may also transmit correct information, but it is difficult to judge from the patient's perspective whether or not this is correct information.
The clinic will strive to provide careful consultation and easy-to-understand explanations so that patients scheduled for surgery on the day of counseling can undergo surgery without any questions or concerns.
