The condition in which a man has female-like breast fullness is called "gynecomastia.
The male breast does not originally develop like the female breast, but there are two types: “true gynecomastia,” in which the mammary glands themselves develop like in women, and “pseudogynecomastia,” in which the breasts become fuller simply as a result of fat gain. "Pseudo-gynecomastia" is when the breasts are simply fat and bulky as a result of fat.
There are two types of remedial surgeries for these two types.
For true gynecomastia with well-developed mammary glands, a mastectomy is performed. For pseudogynecomastia that is simply fatty, liposuction is performed.

Features of this hospital

First, a small hole of about 5 mm is made around the breast and excess fat is suctioned out.
Next, the lower half of the nipple is incised and the mammary glands are removed.

This technique is the most common. One may be concerned that removal of fat and mammary glands will leave sagging skin, but to some extent the skin contracts and tightens, so that those with small breast bulges are left with a flat breast with almost no wrinkles or sagging.

Since the area where the mammary gland was removed will be hollow, a suction drain (continuous suction drain) must be placed for several days to prevent blood and leachate from accumulating in the space and to allow the space to heal with clean adhesion and attachment.

Postoperative risks and side effects

-Left to right difference left-right difference: Postoperative left-right differences can occur. There is always asymmetry in the position of the breasts, the thickness of the skin, the degree of sagging of the skin, the degree of fat, the volume of the mammary glands, the position of the nipples and areola, the size, shape, and color of the nipples and areola, etc., and these factors make the original breasts asymmetrical.

-Thoracic palsy Thoracic paresthesia: Fine sensory nerves are injured under the skin, so the skin surface and nipple/areola sensation is numbed after surgery.
Please understand that the skin surface of the breast and the sensation of the nipple and areola will recover over a period of 6 months to 1 year.

-Mr. scar: Although we will suture as carefully as possible, there may be cases of scar bumps, dents, or distortions due to the nature of the skin or displacement of the stitched wound.
*Please note that it is impossible to completely eliminate scratches, and the objective is to make them less noticeable.
Also, please understand that there are limits to how much we can correct a flawed ato, due largely to individual constitutional factors.

-Hematoma hematoma: If bleeding occurs in the wound after surgery, blood will pool and the chest will swell to a purple color. If the blood is left to pool, it may become infected or form a lump. If blood does accumulate, it should be treated as soon as possible. The wound should be reopened and the pooled blood drained.
