Surgery to reduce the mongolian folds is called an episiotomy (internal eye angle formation).
The Mongolian folds are the inner folds of the eyes that are most commonly seen in Oriental people.
By widening the mongolian folds that cover the inner corner of the eyes, the inner width of the eyes is widened, making the eyes appear larger overall, and the entire face looks more refined and refreshed.
It is also a useful surgery to create parallel double lines for those who tend to have a terminal double fold.

Postoperative risks and side effects

-Philadelphia swelling: Swelling of the craniotomy often goes down relatively quickly; after about a week, the swelling will subside considerably. However, it takes about 3 months for the swelling to completely subside.

-Postoperative Postoperative retroversion: Retroversion may occur due to postoperative shrinkage of the flaws.
Even if the incision is made to fully expose the eye socket, the effect of extending the width of the eye or bringing the eyes closer together may not be sufficient.

-Postoperative Postoperative left-right difference: Postoperatively, there is a possibility of a left-right difference.
If this is a concern, we will correct it after 3 months postoperatively.
*Perfect symmetry can be very difficult to achieve depending on the condition of the face before surgery.

-Redness of scars Scar redness: Scars will be slightly reddish until about 3 to 6 months. Thereafter, it will gradually settle to the color of the skin over time. Depending on the skin type, there is a slight possibility of scarring. If it is too bothersome, we will correct it.
