In the double eyelid incision technique, an incision is made in the upper eyelid along the desired double fold line, and unnecessary tissue (fat, muscle, and skin) is removed to create a beautiful double folded eyelid.
The line and width of the double eyelid are decided after a thorough consultation with the patient.

Postoperative risks and side effects

-Internal hemorrhage internal hemorrhage: Internal bleeding will take 1-2 weeks to disappear, but eye makeup can be applied after the stitches are removed on the seventh postoperative day and can be concealed with foundation or concealer.

-Philadelphia swelling: The swelling will subside considerably after about 1-2 weeks, but it will take about 3 months for the swelling to go down completely.

-Postoperative Postoperative left-right difference: If you are concerned about the left-right difference in the width of the bifold after surgery, we will correct it after 3 months.
Perfect symmetry can be difficult to achieve.

-Double bite Double bite: The incisional double fold line will be deeper because the scar will be firmly adhered to the incision to prevent the line from disappearing. 4-6 months later, as swelling subsides and the scar softens, the incision will become shallower.

-Redness of scars Scar redness: Scars will be slightly reddish until about 3 to 6 months. Thereafter, it will gradually settle to the color of the skin over time. Depending on the skin type, there is a slight possibility of scarring. If it is too bothersome, we will correct it.
