What is artificial bone mussel formation?

Dr Ro

We have recently received a great number of inquiries.
I will discuss "mandibular mussel augmentation with artificial bone."

What is a "mandibular mussel?"

The mandibular miter is the so-called "tip of the chin.
It is indicated for those who have a small chin and want to increase the volume of the chin.

Artificial bone with hydroxyapatite formulation is used to create volume in the lower jaw to form a beautiful jaw.
The artificial bone surgery is performed by creating a 3D bone model based on a CT scan taken beforehand, from which a custom-made artificial bone that matches the person's bone shape 100% can be made to protrude forward or downward.

The decision on how much to produce is made together with the patient while viewing images using a 3D simulation machine called "Vectra".

Advantages

The greatest advantage of artificial bone surgery is that it is very unlikely to cause the mandible to cave in or move upward like a silicone prosthesis.

It is more expensive than silicon prostheses and takes a little time to prepare before surgery, but it is a very good and safe surgery. If you don't like it, it can be easily removed.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns about the volume of your chin.
