Breast structure
In this issue, we are talking about the basic structure of the breast.
Breasts bulge at puberty. This is due to the gradual development of the mammary gland function at the same time as fatty tissue accumulates.

Thus, the breast is composed of two types of tissue: mammary tissue and adipose tissue. The adipose tissue consists of two layers, shallow and deep, with the mammary tissue in between.
They are supported by a fiber-rich tissue called the Cooper's ligament.
Cooper's ligament keeps the breast spherical by running from the deep part of the breast to the skin on the breast surface. The mammary glands are loosely connected to the pectoralis major muscle in the deep part.
The ratio of mammary tissue to fat tissue is generally said to be 2:1, although there are large individual differences.
With age, the ratio of mammary tissue to fat tissue decreases. This is due to the gradual regression of mammary tissue.
We have discussed the structure of the breast.
So, which space is utilized to increase volume when augmenting the breasts?
To be continued in the next column.
