How are you doing with the still cold weather 🫠.
I wanted to try something new with spring around the corner, and at the recommendation of a friend, I started Pilates!
Pilates is an exercise designed to strengthen the inner muscles and balance the entire body. ☝️
Pilates involves chest breathing, which activates the sympathetic nervous system, and movements that allow the body to flow.
By strengthening the inner muscles, which are located in the deeper layers of the body and related to the trunk, the goal is to strengthen the muscles, eliminate body distortions, and improve overall body balance. 💪🏼
Also, Pilates is an exercise that incorporates elements of yoga and tai chi. 🧘🏻♀️
I started Pilates using a specialized machine called the Reformer, and the support of the machine makes it possible for people who don't have the muscle mass to support their own weight to start ✨.
I haven't had a chance to exercise in my adult life, and it's been a while since I've done so, but my muscles were sore the next day 🤣.
But I enjoyed that very much because I moved my body rhythmically to the music!
I plan to go once a week from now on, so I will do my best to have a beautiful BODY for the summer. 🏋🏽♀️💪🏼
