The weather is getting a little warmer. ☀️

I recently took a trip to Miyako Island: ✈️
I love Miyako Island in Okinawa so much that I go there regularly!
How is Okinawa in winter? Some people may wonder how it is in Okinawa in the winter, but since it is off-season, airfare is cheaper and the tourist attractions are more open, so it is highly recommended.

The sea opens in Miyako Island from late March to early April, so we will tell you how to enjoy Miyako Island in winter when you can't go in the sea✨.

The temperature at the beginning of February when I went was the coldest of the year, around 12 degrees Celsius, and it was so cold that I needed a jacket 🤣.

Here are some of the places I visited this time!

1) Miyako Soba "Maruyoshi Shokudo

20 minutes drive from Miyako Airport🚗.
The thick, garlic-flavored broth was quite addictive!

Blue Seal Pina Gama

15 minutes drive from Miyako Airport🚗.
5 minutes walk from Painagama Beach
I was very excited to see the very cute and Instagram-worthy store 🍦.

(iii) Nana Itui Store

It is a specialty store of sataa andagi located in Irabu Island, Miyakojima City!
The brightly colored sataa andagui tastes really good and you should definitely go here 🍠.

Stylish cafe with many cacti🌵.
There are many photo spots and 📷 that look great.
The coffee was also very good. ☕️

5) 17END

The beach is located directly behind Shimojishima Airport, so it is a spot where you can see the moment an airplane lands up close. ✈️
You can look directly under the plane, which is rarely seen.

(vi) Churashima

Definitely the place to go for a drink in Miyako Island 🍻.
The best Okinawan food is served while enjoying a live shamisen performance.
You can also meet Mamoru-kun and Chondara 🫶🏻
Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is quite popular!
It is so hard to get a reservation even in the off-season in February by chance, so it is best to book early.

I have yet to tell you about the charms of Miyako Island, but I have compiled a list of my recommendations ✨.
