labia minora reduction
Before undergoing labia minora reduction - Anatomy of the female vulva

The labia minora are thin, hairless folds inside the labia majora on either side. Anteriorly, it is divided into two folds that enclose the clitoris. The posterior part is in contact with the left and right labia minora. The size of the labia minora varies greatly from person to person.
The labia majora are located on the outer side of the vulva. It is an arched skin ridge on either side between the pubic bone (one of the bones that make up the pelvis, extending from below the navel to the pubic area) and behind the labia minora, and is the male equivalent of a scrotum. It is covered with hair and is somewhat rough. The right and left labia are connected in front and behind and are continuous. The labia majora are plump and firm, and are composed of sebaceous and sweat glands and fatty tissue.
The anterior fold of skin between the labia minora and labia majora is called the adnexa. The size of the adnexa varies from those who have no adnexa at all to those who have a difference between the left and right labia.
The anterior pubic area is raised into a mound due to the abundance of subcutaneous fat. The raised area develops pubic hair during puberty and becomes inverted triangle-shaped in women. When androgen production is increased, pubic hair takes on a male rhomboid shape.
During labia minora reduction, we design and carefully manipulate the labia minora intraoperatively to achieve a natural result, while understanding individual anatomical differences.
We are making every effort to minimize postoperative discomfort and to achieve the desired shape.
