Hello!
Today, I’d like to tell you about my day off, when I went to a food sample-making workshop ☺︎

Japanese food samples are hugely popular around the world for their incredible detail—so realistic you can’t tell them apart from the real thing—and their unique presentation, where the noodles seem to float in midair! Originating as wax sculptures during the Taisho era, they are now cherished as a distinguished part of Japan’s artistic culture. 🇯🇵✨

When I went there for a trial session, the store was full of tourists from overseas 🌏💞

During the workshop, we made tempura and lettuce 🍤🥬

With the instructor's help, we'll pour the wax and shape it.

After the experience, we had a tempura rice bowl at a nearby tempura restaurant!

It was a wonderful holiday where I got to experience Japanese culture! It’s surprisingly easy, so I highly recommend you give it a try too 🫶🏻
