Hello!
Staff A. 🐈⬛
How is everyone doing in this pleasant season of soft sunlight?
With the warmer weather, we are starting to expose a little more skin! I recently had a mole removed for the summer ✨The primary surgeon was Director Lu!
I was born with a raised mole on the back of my neck that has always bothered me, but I never summoned up the courage to finally have it treated 🥹.
The size was quite large (over 5mm) and I was wondering whether to have excisional suture or carbon dioxide laser. Director Lu told me that carbon dioxide laser would remove it nicely and I had it removed. ⚡️
Anesthesia tape → local anesthesia before the procedure
Now! Treatment!
The pain that concerns me is,
I didn't want to! LOL!
The procedure itself took only a few minutes and the post-op nurse gave me some medication and a protective tape 😊.
This is 5 days after the surgery! It was gone beautifully✨

The treated area is still in the early stages of healing, so redness and exudate will still be present.
Since post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by the laser is likely to be strong until about one month after the surgery, the first step is to
(1) Use UV protection (avoid strong sunburn)
(2) Minimize rubbing (minimize irritation) as much as possible.
It doesn't interfere with the inflammation settling down."
It is important to ☝️
