Electroporation is a biotechnological electroporation technique that was developed as a method for seeking cosmetic effects.

Dermatio is a medical device that creates countless microscopic pores in skin cells to introduce a large amount of cosmetic ingredients into the dermis painlessly and without needles piercing the skin.

Many clinics in the U.S. and Europe are using it, and there are many academic data available.
Applying an electric current (a short wavelength of about 0.5 to 1 V) to the skin temporarily opens a small hole in the cell membrane without damaging the cells. 
The drug can be taken into the cell through these holes, and the holes are repaired again in about tens of seconds.

In the conventional ion implantation method, high-molecular substances such as collagen and hyaluronic acid cannot penetrate the skin while retaining their original properties, and the pH change caused by ionization of the ingredients may cause irritation to the skin.

Electroporation eliminates those disadvantages and allows about 70 times the amount to penetrate the skin
