Nasal wing base (laugh lines)

In some cases, the formation of the base of the nasal wing may be effective in improving the lines next to the nose that cannot be improved by hyaluronic acid or a lift. By pushing up the base of the nose, known as the nasal wing base, which is sunken and low, from the inside and making it taller, deep wrinkles from the nose to the corners of the mouth can be improved. In Korea, a major beauty powerhouse, this surgery is also known as "aristocrat surgery" because it gives a three-dimensional and elegant impression to the face.

Features of this hospital

Nasal wing baseplasty can be performed by inserting a prosthesis, artificial bone (hydroxyapatite), or fat implants into the base of the nasal wings.

At our clinic, we use the 3D simulation software "vectra" before the surgery to provide a 3D image of the postoperative result. This allows us to determine the amount of skin to be removed and the extent of the incision to some extent before surgery.

Postoperative risks and side effects

-Philadelphia infection: If there is prolonged "heat," "redness," "severe pain," or "severe swelling" in the treated area after surgery, infection is suspected.
If left untreated, symptoms such as skin breakage and pus, protrusion of the prosthesis/goatex, nostril plugging, and indentation of the nasal surface may occur, so treatment is always necessary.

-Left to right difference left-right difference: A left-right difference in the size and shape of the base of the left and right nasal wings may occur. This is due to a slight difference in the size and shape of the original nostrils, or a slight discrepancy in the amount and position of the skin to be surgically removed. Please understand that the surgery is not as precise as it could be to avoid a slight left-right difference of less than 1mm, although it is performed to make it as symmetrical as possible.

-Mr. scar: Although we will suture as carefully as possible, there may be cases of scar bumps, dents, or distortions due to the nature of the skin or displacement of the stitched wound.
