Abdominal Reduction

This is a surgical procedure to remove fat and excess sagging skin from the abdomen.
The extent of excision depends on the condition and wishes of the patient, and the navel may be repositioned if a large excision is made. After the surgery, the abdomen will be refreshed and firm, and the waist size will be reduced. Depending on the condition, abdominal liposuction may also be performed.

Depending on the area to be resected, an incision is made horizontally, vertically, or both to remove excess skin and subcutaneous tissue from the abdomen.
Intraoperative bleeding prevention is performed while checking the balance of the amount of resection and the position of the navel.
Because the sutures are carefully performed in a plastic surgical fashion, the scars are ultimately barely noticeable.

If only below the navel is mildly sagging

I. Excise skin below the navel.
II. Suture carefully.

If the area above and below the navel is sagging and has excess skin

I. Remove the skin, including the navel, so that the incision line is above and below the navel
II. The original navel skin is left in place, hollowed out and excised, and a hole is made in the skin above the suture line (head side) to form a new navel

Postoperative course and follow-up

Treatment Time: 120-180 min.

Postoperative hospital visit: The drain was removed the next day, and the patient came back to the hospital 10 days later to have the stitches removed.

Postoperative swelling: About 2-4 weeks (depending on the individual)

Postoperative risks and side effects

-Philadelphia infection: If there is prolonged "heat," "redness," "severe pain," or "severe swelling" in the treated area after surgery, infection is suspected.

-Hematoma hematoma: If blood accumulates due to postoperative bleeding, it may turn purple and swell. If the blood is left to accumulate, it may become infected or form a lump, which requires prompt treatment.

-Antonio numbness: There may be some sensory loss at the site of the resection. This varies from person to person, but in most cases it will subside within 3-6 months. In rare cases, the sensation may not completely return to normal.

-Hardness, twitching Stiffness, twitching: A hardened lump or tugging may occur at the resection site. This may vary from person to person, but in most cases it will heal within 3-6 months. (If healing is difficult, the same area may be treated with postoperative ultrasound.

-Mr. scar: Although we will suture as carefully as possible, there may be cases of scar bumps, dents, or distortions due to the nature of the skin or displacement of the stitched wound.
*Please note that it is impossible to completely eliminate scratches, and the objective is to make them less noticeable.
