Postoperative Recovery and Downtime

Sutures are typically removed about one week after surgery. You may apply eye makeup after the sutures are removed, but since this may vary depending on the condition of the incision, please follow your doctor’s instructions. You may take a shower on the day of surgery and wash your face starting the next day. Please be careful not to get the incision site wet on the day of surgery.
