Features of this hospital

An incision is made at the base of the back of the ear (auricle) or inside the ear canal (auricularis), and the auricular cartilage is harvested and transplanted into the nose. We will suggest the site of harvesting depending on the purpose of transplantation.
Our clinic uses the 3D simulation software "vectra" before the surgery to provide a 3D image of the post-operative result. This makes it easier to visualize the finished apex of the nose.

Postoperative risks and side effects

-Philadelphia infection: If there is prolonged "heat," "redness," "severe pain," or "severe swelling" in the treated area after surgery, infection is suspected. If infection is suspected, it may be necessary to remove the cartilage once.

-David Foundations open: In rare cases, the threads may come off or the wound may not heal properly.
If the wound has opened, we will sew the wound back together again.

-And the contour of the grafted cartilage is revealed. The contour of the transplanted cartilage is raised.: The cartilage grafting stretches and thins the skin of the nasal apex, which may cause the contours of the cartilage in the nasal apex to become more prominent. Since the cartilage is your own tissue, there is no concern that it will break through the skin and pop out.
If you wish to correct the cartilage that has emerged, we can remove a portion or all of the grafted cartilage.

-Not enough effect/not what I imagined Insufficient effect, different from the image: Depending on the original morphology of the nose, one surgery may not be effective enough or different from the image.
If you wish to have a higher and longer nasal tip after rhinoplasty, we will wait at least 3 months to allow the skin of the nasal tip to soften sufficiently before adding a cartilage graft.
In this case, a new cartilage harvest will be required. Also, please understand that there is a limit to the height and length that can be achieved. If you want to have a longer and taller nose, we recommend a nasal septum extension.
